The National Digital Titling Clearinghouse
This year Champ Titles and our partner Tyler Technologies launched the National Digital Titling Clearinghouse (NDTC), the first-of-its-kind initiative allowing auto retailers, insurance carriers, fleet operators, and lenders nationwide to gain new titles, transfer titles, or replace titles through the West Virginia DMV online, even when the vehicle is located in another jurisdiction.
Governor Jim Justice announced that the West Virginia DMV would lead the nation in its use of the NDTC, establishing a central hub for swift, efficient, and secure title transfers.
The Clearinghouse is now open for enrollment to national auto retailers, fleet operators, insurance carriers, and salvage vehicle companies from all 50 states. By enrolling in the Clearinghouse, businesses can streamline the title transfer process, reducing turnaround times from over a month to just a few days. This innovation has brought substantial time and cost savings, ensuring smoother operations and increased productivity for businesses nationwide.
Vroom Accelerates Innovation with the NDTC
Vroom became the first retailer with access to the National Digital Titling Clearinghouse, a move that aligns with the online car retailer’s commitment to enhancing the car buying and selling experience. Vroom’s collaboration with the NDTC is a significant leap in digital innovation, redefining the automotive retail landscape and offering customers an unprecedented level of efficiency and peace of mind.
